   Mamma Mia 2006

SEEDS' second annual Mamma Mia cook-off, celebrating Daphne's Italian heritage, was held on November 11th under tents on the site of the new Hutchinson, Moore and Rauch Engineering building on Main Street.  Nineteen teams from throughout the community cooked in honor of, or under the guidance of, their favorite matriarch. In spite of cold and windy weather, it was a great evening.  There was spirited competition in cooking and table decorations, as well as delicious food, great music and prizes.

OTDA's "Team Alloro 2006" was inspired by the southern classic Red Beans and Rice..... Risotto con Fagioli Rossi. A special secret sauce, Spicey Mamma, was offered for the occasion! Click on: Recipe for a copy!
