2nd Annual SEEDS Summit Will Feature Top School, County Officials

Where:  Trojan Hall, Daphne High School

Who:  Funding presentation by School Board President Tracy Roberts.  Panelists to take questions developed by small groups will include:

SEEDS annual classic Rock 5K and Fun Run will be held on March 7th in Olde Towne.  Come out and cheer for the runners and help support Daphne's educational enrichment foundation. The race starts at the Daphne Public Library with more than 300 5K runners from throughout the area and nearly 1000 Fun Run participants from the Daphne schools!  You won’t want to miss out on cheering for these great kids, parents, teachers and running enthusiasts. Team Alloro cooked again in the 4th annual SEEDS' cook-off on the beautiful new grounds of City Hall in November.  No prizes this year, but our 'Coneglio Cacciatora' (Rabbit stew) created quite a buzz at the event!Click Recipe for your copy.

Olde Towne Daphne's Team Alloro 2007 competed again in the SEEDS" 3rd annual Mamma Mia cookoff in November.  This fundraising event,  benefiting educational enrichment for Daphne schools, was held under the tents at HMR on Main Street in Olde Towne...in nearly perfect weather!

   Mamma Mia 2006

SEEDS' second annual Mamma Mia cook-off, celebrating Daphne's Italian heritage, was held on November 11th under tents on the site of the new Hutchinson, Moore and Rauch Engineering building on Main Street.  Nineteen teams from throughout the community cooked in honor of, or under the guidance of, their favorite matriarch. In spite of cold and windy weather, it was a great evening.  There was spirited competition in cooking and table decorations, as well as delicious food, great music and prizes.

 
OTDA's "Team Alloro 2006" was inspired by the southern classic Red Beans and Rice..... Risotto con Fagioli Rossi. A special secret sauce, Spicey Mamma, was offered for the occasion! Click on: Recipe for a copy!
